For a big Diesel campaign, Amsterdam based agency Natwerk came up with an idea for a big converted towing truck, in which people could play along with their favorite music genre to win tickets for an exclusive Diesel party. We were asked to build a system that could show a commercial, play 18 different audio tracks and record 30 second performances, complete with branding overlays.

We developed a custom MAX/MSP (audiovisual programming environment) patch that could handle all the required tasks. Additionally we supplied them with a remote control box so the promotion crew could easily start/stop the recording process and playback of the audio tracks. The camera, two 37 inch LCD TV’s, the control box and the audio system were all hooked up to an Apple Macbook which ran the custom software and handled all events.
